Aria vs Cosmopolitan: Which Las Vegas Hotel Is Right for You?

Aria and The Cosmopolitan sit side by side on the center Strip, both five-star, both opened around 2009–2010 — yet they attract very different travelers. Here's how to choose.

Rooms

Aria is known for its in-room technology — one-touch controls for lights, curtains, temperature and TV — in clean, modern rooms. Cosmopolitan is famous for something almost no other Strip resort offers: private terraces and balconies, plus Fountain View rooms that look straight onto the Bellagio water show. If a balcony or that view matters to you, Cosmopolitan is the easy call.

Dining

Both are dining destinations. Aria leans toward marquee steak and sushi (Jean Georges Steakhouse, Carbone, Catch). Cosmopolitan offers a trendier, tapas-and-sharing mix (Jaleo and é by José Andrés, Zuma, STK) plus the cult-favorite Secret Pizza. Either way you're minutes from more options — browse where to eat.

Casino & atmosphere

Aria's casino is large but feels modern and comparatively quiet. Cosmopolitan's is more compact and buzzier, woven through bars and the three-story Chandelier. Aria favors calm; Cosmopolitan favors energy.

Nightlife & pools
