Accounts & social sign-in

We offer sign-in with Google or with a one-time e-mail code, so you don't need a separate password. When you sign in with Google, the provider shares basic profile details with us - typically your name, email address and profile picture - which we use to create and manage your account and to show your name beside any reviews or comments you post. We never see or store your provider password. Google sign-in is also governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can ask us to delete your account at any time via our Contact page.

Reviews, ratings & comments

If you post a review, rating or comment, your contribution - together with the display name and picture from your account - is shown publicly on the site and may be used to calculate aggregate ratings. Please don't post anything you wouldn't want to be public. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaches our Terms of Service, and you can request removal of your own contributions via our Contact page.

Spam protection (reCAPTCHA)

Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

AI assistants & catalog API

Vegas Guide is also available inside third-party AI assistants (for example as an app in ChatGPT or a connector in Claude) through our public catalog interface. When an assistant queries our catalog on your behalf, we receive only the request itself - such as a search phrase, a place name or, if you ask for nearby suggestions, approximate coordinates - together with basic technical data like the requesting server's IP address. We use this solely to answer the request and to protect the service against abuse; we do not create profiles from these requests, set cookies on this channel, or sell this data. Requests are processed transiently and appear only in short-lived technical logs. Your conversation with the assistant itself is handled by its provider (for example OpenAI or Anthropic) under that provider's own privacy policy. Responses may include our affiliate links, as described above.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers who help us run the site (such as hosting, analytics and spam protection), when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

Data retention

We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for our reasonable record-keeping, after which they are deleted. Technical and analytics data is retained for limited periods consistent with the purposes above.
