The Fremont is old-school downtown Vegas done right - a friendly, welcoming hotel that's been a Fremont Street fixture for decades. The rooms are comfortable and affordable, and the dining got a modern refresh: the 13,000-square-foot Fremont Food Hall, with vendors like Tomo Noodles, Huey Magoo's and Fremont Pizza Company. The longtime Tony Roma's closed in May 2026, and a gastropub called Neon Fork is slated to take over its space.

The location is the headline: it sits directly under the Fremont Street Experience canopy, so the free nightly light shows, zip line and live bands are right outside. Add free valet parking for hotel guests and it's a strong-value downtown base. Rates start around $31 a night.

The resort fee is $33.99 plus tax, $38.41 a night all-in as of September 2026, which on the cheapest dates costs more than the room; it covers Wi-Fi. Parking is valet only (the hotel has no self-park garage) and free for registered guests, with a tip expected. No pool on-site, but your room key and a photo ID, shown at the California's front desk, get you into the rooftop pool at the Cal, its Boyd sister property a block away.
