Is the Fremont Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates

The Fremont is old-school downtown Vegas done right — a friendly, welcoming hotel that's been a Fremont Street fixture for decades. The rooms are comfortable and affordable, and the dining got a modern refresh: the 13,000-square-foot Fremont Food Hall, with vendors like CraftKitchen, Tomo Noodles and Roli Roti, plus Tony Roma's.

The location is the headline: it sits directly under the Fremont Street Experience canopy, so the free nightly light shows, zip line and live bands are right outside. Add free self-parking and it's a strong-value downtown base. Rates start around $31 a night.

The resort fee is about $19 a night — one of the lowest in Las Vegas — and it covers Wi-Fi and the parking. No pool on-site, but your room key gets you into the pool at the California, its Boyd sister property connected by a pedestrian bridge.
