Gold Coast
The Gold Coast is a friendly, great-value locals' casino just west of the Strip, pairing cheap, comfortable rooms with a 70-lane bowling center, live music and free parking. A Victorian-styled gambling hall at the edge of Chinatown, home to acclaimed Ping Pang Pong dim sum.

Is the Gold Coast Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates
Just over a mile off the Strip, the Gold Coast is a welcoming locals' casino with a Victorian-style gambling-hall character — rich wood, brass fixtures and an easygoing crowd. It's all about value: cheap rooms, locals' prices on dining and gaming, and free self-parking. Sitting on Flamingo Road at the edge of Chinatown, it's also home to Ping Pang Pong, one of the best-regarded Chinese restaurants in the country.
There's plenty to do on-site, including a 70-lane bowling center — one of the largest in Las Vegas — and regular live music. One honest note: the free shuttle that once linked the Gold Coast and sister-property the Orleans to the Strip was discontinued in 2026, so plan on a short rideshare or a car. For travelers who want to be close to the action without paying Strip prices, it's a reliable bargain.
Insider tipIf you want a bathtub, book the 720-square-foot Executive 1 Bedroom suite — it's the only room type with a separate tub, while the standard 360-square-foot Deluxe rooms have a shower only. Just note the suite's parlor couch isn't a pull-out, so it still sleeps two despite the extra space.Check Rates & Availability →
