Palace Station Las Vegas: Honest Review, Rooms & Rates

Palace Station opened in 1976 and became the flagship of the Station Casinos empire, and a major 2018 overhaul gave it a fresh resort pool plus fully updated rooms, restaurants and casino. It's a relaxed, convenient locals' resort just west of the Strip, right next to the I-15 for easy driving anywhere in town.

The appeal is value: as a locals' property it typically offers better gaming odds, cheaper dining and — crucially — free self-parking, things that cost extra on the Strip. With a car, it's a smart-value base, with rates from around $34 a night before fees.

Insider tipAs a locals' casino it tends to have better odds, cheaper food and free parking than the Strip — excellent value if you've got a car.
