Is SAHARA Las Vegas Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates

One of the Strip's most storied names - once a Rat Pack haunt - the SAHARA has been stylishly revived into a contemporary resort on the north Strip. It blends that history with a modern, party-ready energy: trendy pools, lively bars and lounges, and a strong dining line-up headlined by Maroon from chef Kwame Onwuachi.

Rooms are affordable and well-designed, and while it sits at the quieter north end, an on-site Las Vegas Monorail station makes hopping to the central Strip and Convention Center easy without fighting traffic. For style and value away from the busiest blocks, rates start around $22 a night before fees.

Know before you book: the resort fee is $54.95 plus tax - about $62 a night on top of the room rate - though Wi-Fi and pool access are included in it. Parking, unusually for the Strip, is genuinely free: two self-parking garages with entrances off Las Vegas Boulevard and Paradise Road, plus free valet at both the Las Vegas Boulevard and Paradise Road entrances. The trade-off is the address - the walk to the Bellagio–Caesars stretch runs about 2 miles along quieter blocks, so most guests hop the Monorail from the in-house station (the Convention Center is two stops away) or catch the 24-hour Deuce bus on the Boulevard outside.

Insider tipFor noticeably more space, book an Alexandria Iconic room (490 sq ft, the largest non-suite on the property) over the standard Marra, Blanca and Alexandria rooms; check the current square footage on the hotel's room page, since the categories differ more in finish than in footprint.

What is the resort fee at SAHARA Las Vegas, and what does it cover?

It runs $54.95 plus tax - roughly $62 a night on top of the room rate. In return it bundles in-room Wi-Fi, fitness-center and in-season pool access, two bottles of water, local and toll-free calls, boarding-pass printing and a digital savings pass (the fitness center itself is closed for renovation through the end of 2026). SAHARA periodically releases all-in promotional rates with the fee waived, so it's worth checking current packages before you book.

Is parking really free at SAHARA Las Vegas?

Yes - and not just self-parking. SAHARA is one of the last Strip resorts that still throws in free valet as well. Both self-parking garages (with entrances off Las Vegas Boulevard and Paradise Road) are free for everyone, and EV drivers will find chargers in the west garage.

How far is SAHARA Las Vegas from the central Strip, and how do you get there?

It anchors the north end, about 2 miles from the Bellagio–Caesars Palace core - a roughly 40-minute walk you'll want to skip in summer heat. Most guests ride the Las Vegas Monorail from the on-site SAHARA station instead (the Convention Center is two stops away), take the Vegas Loop from the station at the Paradise Road entrance (opened August 2026, daily 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.), or catch the 24-hour Deuce bus on the Boulevard out front.

Is Bazaar Meat still at SAHARA Las Vegas?

No - José Andrés moved Bazaar Meat to The Venetian's Palazzo tower in 2025. Its former space reopened in April 2026 as Maroon, from acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi, which now headlines a lineup that also includes Balla Italian Soul, The Noodle Den, Zeffer's Café and Chickie's & Pete's.

Which pools does SAHARA Las Vegas have, and are they open year-round?

Three. None of them is year-round: the all-ages Pool at SAHARA (formerly the Alexandria Pool) runs March through September (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in spring, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from May); the adults-only AZILO Ultra Pool (21+) is the seasonal party pool with DJ days; and the Retro Pool opens weekends in season. In-season pool access is folded into the resort fee, and entry to the main pool is free anyway for hotel guests of any age and for 21+ locals with ID.
