Silverton
The Silverton is a quirky, un-Strip-like resort about five miles south of the Boulevard, pairing comfortable rooms with a 117,000-gallon aquarium (and live 'mermaid' shows), an adjoining Bass Pro Shops and a free airport shuttle. Relaxed, family-friendly and one of the better values south of the Strip.

Is the Silverton Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates
The Silverton offers a refreshingly un-Strip-like getaway, tucked just west of Las Vegas Boulevard off the I-15 at Blue Diamond Road, about a 10-minute drive south of the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. Its character comes from the details: a huge 117,000-gallon aquarium with free live 'mermaid' shows, and an adjoining Bass Pro Shops megastore that's a destination in its own right.
Rooms are comfortable, the casino is relaxed, and a complimentary airport shuttle helps if you arrive without a car (though one is handy for this location). Free self-parking and a fun, family-friendly vibe round out the appeal.
Know before you book: the resort fee is $35.99 plus tax (about $41 a night), though it covers Wi-Fi, fitness center access, the pool and even valet parking — and self-parking in the five-story garage is free too. The location is the trade-off: nothing beyond Bass Pro Shops is walkable, and the central Strip is a 10–15 minute drive up I-15, so plan on a car or rideshare. The free airport shuttle is for hotel guests only and requires an advance reservation — it won't pick you up without one.
Insider tipThe free airport shuttle isn't a walk-up service — it's reserved for hotel guests and needs an advance online reservation, so book your pickup before you fly in or you'll be paying for a rideshare from Harry Reid instead.Check Rates & Availability →
