Is Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates
Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort is a quiet, all-villa timeshare property about two and a half miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip, offering a residential alternative to the casino mega-resorts. Instead of standard hotel rooms it books one- and two-bedroom villas ranging from 519 to 971 square feet, each with a fully equipped kitchen, a separate living room and, in most units, an in-unit washer and dryer — genuine space for families and longer stays to spread out and self-cater.
The grounds are non-gaming and low-key, built around a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center and a cluster of sports courts (basketball, shuffleboard, a practice putting green, ping-pong and horseshoe pits). Self-parking is free, and a scheduled shuttle runs to the Strip, Fremont Street and the resort's sister property, the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
The trade-offs are real. There is no casino, no on-site restaurant and no nightlife, so dining and gaming mean a short drive or the shuttle rather than a walk downstairs. A nightly resort fee of $33.88 is added on top of the room rate, check-out is an early 10 a.m., and — as at most timeshare resorts — walk-in guests may be pitched an ownership presentation. For travelers who value kitchen space and quiet over a Strip-front address, though, it is a comfortable, well-priced base.
Insider tipIf in-room laundry matters on a longer stay, skip the entry-level 519 sq ft One-Bedroom Villa — it is the only layout without an in-unit washer/dryer. The One-Bedroom Deluxe and both two-bedroom villas each include one, so ask for a Deluxe when you book.Check Rates & Availability →

One Bedroom Deluxe Villa
4At 691 square feet, this is the roomiest of the one-bedroom layouts. A separate bedroom holds a king bed, while the living room adds a queen sleeper sofa, a fireplace and a dining table, so it sleeps up to four. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a stovetop, a microwave, a dishwasher and a full set of pots, pans, dishes and utensils, and an in-unit washer and dryer makes longer stays easy. The master bathroom pairs a jetted tub with a separate stall shower, and the cable TV carries premium channels alongside a DVD player.
