Originally opened in 1969 as the International Hotel — the very stage Elvis made famous — the Westgate blends genuine Vegas history with modern comforts. Its crown jewel is the SuperBook, the world's largest race and sportsbook, with hundreds of seats and a colossal 240-foot indoor LED video wall that makes it a bucket-list spot for sports fans.

Rooms are comfortable and affordable for the space, and while it sits off-Strip near the Convention Center, an on-site Las Vegas Monorail station makes reaching the central Strip easy without dealing with traffic or parking. Rates start around $36 a night before fees.

Budget for the extras: the resort fee is $49.99 plus tax (about $57 a night), and parking is no longer free — self-parking runs $10 a day through the SP+ Mobile app (validated free with restaurant, casino or show activity) and valet is $25. The location is honest convention country: the Las Vegas Convention Center is right next door, but the nearest Strip casinos are roughly a 20–25 minute walk along Paradise Road, which is punishing in summer heat — the Monorail or a short rideshare covers the gap in minutes.
