Downtown Grand Casino and Hotel

The Downtown Grand is an urban-cool hotel a block off Fremont Street, pairing modern, industrial-chic rooms with the hip Citrus rooftop pool and on-site favorites like Pizza Rock. Stylish, walkable and great value with free parking, from $59/night.

Is the Downtown Grand Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates

The Downtown Grand brings a dash of New York-style urban cool to downtown Las Vegas, with modern, industrial-chic rooms and an artsy, design-led feel. It sits a block off the main Fremont Street drag, which keeps it a touch quieter while still putting the Fremont Street Experience within easy walking distance.

The rooftop Citrus pool deck, with cabanas and skyline views, is a real highlight, and on-site dining includes the lively Pizza Rock and the Triple George Grill. With free self-parking and comfortable rooms, it's a stylish, good-value downtown base, from around $59 a night before fees.

The resort fee is $39 plus tax (about $44 a night) — modest by Strip standards — and it covers the parking, Wi-Fi, fitness center and pool. There's no shuttle to the Strip, but the Deuce bus runs around the clock from Fremont a block away, and the Mob Museum is literally across the street.

Insider tipNot all rooms here are equal: the Gallery (New) Tower is the newest and freshest, and if a view is worth a splurge, the top-floor City Suites have floor-to-ceiling windows framing the mountains, not just the neon below.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Downtown Grand, and what's within walking distance?

It sits a block north of the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas — not on the Strip. The Mob Museum is directly across the street, the Fremont East bar district is a couple of minutes on foot, and Las Vegas North Premium Outlets are under a mile away.

How do I get from the Downtown Grand to the Las Vegas Strip?

There's no hotel shuttle, but the 24/7 Deuce bus stops a block away on Fremont and runs the length of Las Vegas Boulevard. A rideshare to the center Strip, roughly 4–5 miles south, usually takes about 10–15 minutes.

Is parking free at the Downtown Grand?

Yes. Self-parking in the Downtown 3rd garage across the street is free for hotel guests and is bundled into the resort fee, so there's no separate parking charge like you'd pay on the Strip. Day visitors park free too after spending $25 at Pizza Rock or Triple George Grill.

How much is the resort fee at the Downtown Grand?

$39 a night plus tax — about $44 all-in — which is low by Las Vegas standards. It bundles self-parking, Wi-Fi and access to the fitness center and rooftop pool, so those aren't billed separately.

Is the Citrus rooftop pool open year-round?

No — the rooftop Citrus Grand Pool Deck runs seasonally, roughly spring through fall, and it's the hotel's only pool. If a winter swim matters to your trip, plan around it.

Does the Downtown Grand allow pets?

Yes — up to two dogs under 50 lbs, for a $50-per-night charge. Because it's limited to certain room types, tell the hotel you're bringing a dog when you book so you're assigned an eligible room.
