Is Treasure Island Worth It? Honest Review, Rooms & Rates

Treasure Island — TI to regulars — has grown up from its old 'Ahoy, matey!' pirate days into a sleek, modern, mid-range resort, while holding onto one of the best locations on the Strip. It's home to Mystère, the longest-running Cirque du Soleil show in the city.

Rooms are solid, comfortable and recently updated, and the central position is a big draw: the Venetian is directly across the street and the Fashion Show mall is a short walk away. One thing to know before booking: next door, the former Mirage is being rebuilt into Hard Rock Las Vegas (due 2027), so expect construction activity on that side until it opens — and the TI–Mirage tram is suspended until then. Rates start around $28 a night before fees.

As an independent property, TI's fees actually undercut the big chains: self-parking is free for everyone, valet is covered for hotel guests, and the $49.95-plus-tax resort fee (about $57 all-in) can even be waived on some of TI's own direct-booking offers.

How much is the resort fee at Treasure Island?

$49.95 per night plus tax — about $57 all-in as of 2026. It covers Wi-Fi, valet parking, pool access and a 2-for-1 drink coupon, and TI waives it entirely on some direct-booking promotions, so compare TI's own site before booking elsewhere.

What's happening next door at the old Mirage?

The Mirage closed in July 2024 and is being rebuilt as Hard Rock Las Vegas, complete with a guitar-shaped hotel tower, targeted to open in 2027. Until then, expect construction activity on TI's south side, and the TI–Mirage tram stays suspended.

Is Treasure Island still pirate-themed?

Only in spirit. The pirate ship moored in the front lagoon is a leftover from TI's 1990s era — the free ship-side shows ended years ago, but it's still a favorite photo stop. Inside, the resort has gone sleek and modern. TI is also one of the few big Strip properties not run by MGM or Caesars, which shows in its friendlier parking and fee policies.
