F1 signs a 10-year extension — the Las Vegas Grand Prix now runs through 2037

Race week in mid-November is a fixture for the next decade. In 2026 that's November 19–21 — the priciest weekend of the fall, whether you come for the cars or not.

Formula 1 made it official on June 4: the Las Vegas Grand Prix isn't going anywhere. F1 and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority signed a 10-year extension that starts when the current deal ends after the 2027 race — locking the night race onto the Strip through 2037.

F1 says the first three editions delivered $3.2 billion in economic impact for Southern Nevada. Whatever you make of that number, the practical read for a visitor is simpler: the race worked, and mid-November race week is now a permanent feature of the Vegas calendar.

That cuts two ways. If you're coming FOR the race, you can plan years ahead — the 2026 edition runs November 19–21, with single-day general admission from around $50 (Thursday) and three-day passes from around $492. Grandstand location matters more than almost anything else, so read up before you buy. If you're NOT coming for the race, treat those dates as a warning: hotel rates spike across the whole Strip, and track build-out means weeks of lane closures and detours around the circuit either side of race weekend. Our best time to visit guide breaks down which weeks to target instead.

Our take: good news if you love the race, useful certainty if you don't — November trip planning around F1 week is now a fact of Vegas life through 2037. Book race tickets early for corner grandstands (more overtaking for less money), and book AWAY from November 19–21 if you just want a normal-priced weekend.
