John Mayer's 2027 Sphere run grows from six nights to 21, now through June 12

Six April nights became 18 in a single day. On October 7, 2026, John Mayer added a first block of six Sphere dates (April 28 and 30, May 1, 5, 7 and 8), which the Las Vegas Review-Journal's John Katsilometes put down to the hundreds of thousands of fans who flooded the presale queues. A second block followed the same day: May 12, 14 and 15 and June 2, 4 and 5. Six days later, on October 13, a third addition put June 9, 11 and 12 on the calendar, so the run now stands at 21 shows from April 8 to June 12, 2027, every one at 8 p.m.

The format doesn't change. Each night has three sets: Mayer solo, mostly on acoustic guitar with some piano and electric; a full-band set; and the John Mayer Trio with drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino. It's his first residency under his own name in the dome, after 48 Sphere shows with Dead & Company in 2024 and 2025.

The first 18 dates went on general sale Friday, October 9, in three waves: the original April shows at 10 a.m. PT, the late-April and early-May block at noon, and the May-June block at 2 p.m.; the June 9 to 12 trio followed on Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets were announced from $129, and the primary listing shows all-in prices that include fees, with taxes on top and a four-ticket limit per order. Sphere lists no age requirement for these shows but strongly suggests under-18s come with a parent or guardian. The bag rule is strict: a clutch or fanny pack of roughly 6 by 6 by 2 inches, and there's no bag check.

Our take: with 21 nights instead of six, there's no reason to chase an April weekend. If those prices have climbed past face value, the May and June dates sell the same three-set show.
