Check Las Vegas today for what is on this evening, then fill the gaps from the list below. The fountains, the Conservatory and the Fremont canopy show cost nothing and run every day.

This afternoon

  • The Bellagio Conservatory: free, 24 hours; go before the 5 p.m. crush.
  • The Bellagio fountains: from 3 p.m. on weekdays, noon at weekends.
  • A resort pool, in season.
  • The High Roller in daylight, $24.
  • The Arte Museum at CityCenter if it is 105°F out.
  • Omega Mart at AREA15, with a timed ticket.
  • The Fall of Atlantis inside the Forum Shops, on the hour.

Tonight

  • A show at 7 or 8. The magic and comedy rooms rarely sell out midweek; our under-$50 list covers the cheap end.
  • The fountains every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight.
  • Fremont Street's canopy show at the top of every hour from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Views: the STRAT's deck until 1 a.m.; the High Roller until midnight, 2 a.m. at weekends.
  • A drink at one of our fourteen cocktail bars.
  • A Golden Knights game, if the schedule lines up.

Dayclubs are a weekend-afternoon thing in season; nightclubs run Thursday to Sunday. A Red Rock loop needs a morning start and, from October to May, a reservation; the month's calendar is at events.

Weather calls

  • Over 100°F: keep midday indoors (museums, Sphere, the malls) and walk the Strip after 8 p.m.
  • Windy: the fountains may not run.
  • A rare rainy day: a Mob Museum day.

Prices, hours and time budgets are in things to do besides gambling; the free version in free shows in Las Vegas.
