Free Shows in Las Vegas in 2026: 6 With a Showtime, and 20 More Free Things on the Strip

The most-watched show in Las Vegas has never sold a ticket. The Fountains at Bellagio fire 1,214 nozzles up to 460 feet on an 8.5-acre lake, and on a Saturday night more people stand at that railing than sit in any theater on the Strip. The city keeps a handful of free shows like it on real schedules, and a much longer list of places that cost nothing to enter. This page has both, with the showtimes and hours from our attraction pages as of September 2026, and it ends with the free shows that older lists still promise and that are gone.

The short list

• Best free show: the Fountains at Bellagio, every 15 minutes after 8 p.m. until midnight.
• Best free hour downtown: Fremont Street Experience, light show at the top of every hour from 6 p.m., live bands nightly.
• Best for kids: the circus acts at Circus Circus, Friday through Monday, roughly hourly from 12:30 p.m.
• Best free indoor stop: the Bellagio Conservatory, open 24 hours, fall display through November 7.
• Gone: the Mirage volcano; the resort closed in July 2024.

Free shows with a showtime

Fountains at Bellagio

First show at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon on weekends and holidays, then every 30 minutes until 8 p.m. and every 15 minutes until the midnight finale; each show is one song, three to five minutes, and the playlist rotates so consecutive shows never repeat. Stand dead center on the Strip-side railing, in line with the front doors, for the stereo effect, and go after dark, because daytime shows lose most of the drama without the lighting. Fremont Street Experience

Five pedestrian blocks of old Las Vegas under a 1,375-foot LED canopy, open around the clock. The Viva Vision light show plays at the top of every hour from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., the stages host free live sets every night, and the neon the Strip paved over is still here. It is loud, it is crowded on weekend nights, and it is the best free hour downtown; the Fremont Street page has the stage schedule notes and the zipline prices for people who want to spend something.

Fall of Atlantis at the Forum Shops

Inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, nine-foot animatronic gods, fire jets and a 20-foot winged dragon destroy Atlantis on the hour from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday through Monday, dark Tuesday and Wednesday. It is 1990s Las Vegas preserved in amber and takes about ten minutes; the saltwater aquarium beside it is free to look at too. See the Fall of Atlantis page.

Circus acts at Circus Circus

Free aerialists and clowns have played the Carnival Midway ring since 1968, and Guinness still lists it as the largest permanent circus. The catch is the calendar: performances run Friday and Saturday from 12:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday and Monday from 12:30 to 8:30 p.m., roughly hourly on the half hour, with nothing Tuesday through Thursday. Mermaids at the Silverton

A genuine 117,000-gallon saltwater reef tank in the lobby of the Silverton, a short drive southwest of the Strip, is viewable 24 hours. Live mermaids swim Thursday through Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., roughly every half hour with a break from 3:45 to 5 p.m., and stingray feedings run daily at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Best for children, and the Silverton aquarium page explains why the drive is worth it.

Sunset Stampede at Sam's Town

Ten minutes of lasers, water and animatronic wolves in the glass-roofed Mystic Falls Park at Sam's Town on Boulder Highway: shows at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 4, 6, 8 and 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday, going hourly in the evenings for the holiday season from late November through New Year's Day. Free to walk into on the Strip

• Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens: 14,000 square feet of floral sculpture beside the lobby, rebuilt five times a year, open 24 hours. The fall display runs through November 7, 2026, then the room closes about six days for the holiday rebuild. Go around 8 a.m. for photos without shoulders in them.
• Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo: Chilean flamingos, pelicans, koi and turtles in a four-acre garden behind the casino, daily 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Palazzo Waterfall Atrium: a two-story waterfall under a glass dome at the Grand Canal Shoppes entrance, replanted five times a year, open around the clock.
• ARIA Fine Art Collection: Maya Lin, Jenny Holzer, Nancy Rubins and Claes Oldenburg across ARIA and CityCenter, free with the resort's brochure map; the Lumia fountain at the entrance is the surviving water feature, and the famous curved water wall no longer runs.
• Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign: the 1959 Betty Willis neon at the south end, lit all night, with a photo line to time around.
• The LINQ Promenade and The Park: the two open-air streets that are free to wander, one under the High Roller wheel, the other past the 40-foot Bliss Dance sculpture on the way to T-Mobile Arena.
• M&M's World and Hershey's Chocolate World: four floors of candy retail next to MGM Grand and an 800-pound chocolate Statue of Liberty inside New York-New York, both free to walk and open until midnight or later.
• The Art of Richard MacDonald: more than 50 bronze acrobats in the O Theatre lobby at Bellagio, part gallery and part sales floor.
• HyperX Arena at Luxor: free to walk in Thursday through Monday, noon to 9 p.m.; game time costs from $15 an hour.

Free downtown and a short drive away

• Downtown Container Park: shops and bars in shipping containers behind a fire-breathing mantis, with a free three-story Treehouse for kids; family by day, 21 and over after 9 p.m.
• Pinball Hall of Fame: hundreds of playable machines from the 1950s onward in a free-entry hall near the Welcome sign, games from a quarter, cash only, profits to charity. Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
• Gold and Silver Pawn Shop: the real store from Pawn Stars, free to walk into daily 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; the counter is real and the famous faces usually are not there.
• Shelby Heritage Center: 30-plus Cobras and Mustangs plus the working factory floor near Town Square, free self-guided Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 to 4.
• Ethel M in Henderson: a free chocolate-factory viewing aisle on weekdays 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a three-acre cactus garden that is free year-round except during the ticketed Holiday Cactus Garden Lights, November 5, 2026 to January 3, 2027.
• Clark County Museum in Henderson: thirty acres of restored period homes, a ghost town and a 1918 steam engine, now free, daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Hoover Dam: free to walk across; only the Visitor Center ($15) and the Powerplant Tour ($25) cost money, and the $40 Dam Tour is suspended for elevator repairs.
• Mount Charleston and Clark County Wetlands Park: the free alpine escape 45 minutes northwest, 20 to 30 degrees cooler than the Strip, and 2,900 acres of ponds and boardwalks east of it with the valley's best birding. More of these are in day trips from Las Vegas.

Free shows that no longer exist

The Mirage volcano is gone: the resort closed in July 2024 and is being rebuilt as a Hard Rock property, and the free tram that linked it to Treasure Island stopped with it. Treasure Island's own pirate battle ended years earlier. How to plan a free evening

Start at the Conservatory before the lobby crowd builds, catch a fountain show from the railing, walk north to the Fall of Atlantis for the 8 p.m. show, then stay on the Strip for the fountains again after dark, when they run every 15 minutes. Downtown, the Viva Vision show at the top of the hour anchors the night and the stages fill the gaps; the Container Park closes to children at 9 p.m. Both plans cost nothing but the ride between them, and the getting around guide covers the Deuce bus that links the two.
