Battista's Hole in the Wall has been the same gloriously cluttered old-school Italian since 1970 — a photo-and-memorabilia-crammed room hiding behind the Flamingo where the deal hasn't changed in half a century: every entree includes minestrone or salad, garlic bread, a pasta side, house cappuccino, and UNLIMITED house wine, red or white, poured until you surrender.

The 2025-26 chapter matters: the building closed June 2025 for a genuine six-month renovation — new roof, new AC, new plumbing — and reopened November 19, 2025 with the decor faithfully restored and all 65 staff retained. One legend didn't return: Gordy the strolling accordionist passed away in 2022, closing a decades-long chapter of the room's soundtrack.

The math still works: entrees $23-41 (premium cuts higher) with everything included lands $45-70 all-in per person, wine already in the price. It's cramped, kitschy, and unapologetically 1970 — the appeal, entirely. Reserve for weekends (small room, OpenTable), come hungry, and let the house wine do what it's done since Nixon was president.
