Double Zero (00 Pie & Pub)
Double Zero Pie & Pub is Chinatown's nationally ranked pizzeria (#43, 50 Top Pizza USA 2025) — World Champion Michael Vakneen's Neo-Neapolitan 11-inchers and NY 16-inchers, with happy hour twice daily (3-5pm + 9pm-close).

Is Double Zero Pie & Pub Worth It? Honest Review & What to Order
Double Zero Pie and Pub is Chinatown's pizza sleeper — World Pizza Champion Michael Vakneen's neighborhood room on Spring Mountain, which cracked 50 Top Pizza USA's national list (#43, 2025) barely two years after opening. The format runs two doughs, correctly: 11-inch Neo-Neapolitan personal pies and 16-inch Artisan New York rounds built for tables — no Detroit squares, whatever old listings claim.
The menu keeps pub honesty: Neo-Neapolitans $18-24 (the Margherita at $20 shows the champion's hand plainest), New York 16-inchers $24-29 with the cacio e pepe pie as the signature crossover, apps $10-22, and a double-daily happy hour — 3-5pm AND 9pm-close, every day — pouring $5 drafts. Dinner for two with beers lands under $70.
It's a small room that fills on weekends (OpenTable exists; walk-ins usually work), parking plays Chinatown rules, and the two-style discipline means variety-hunters should look elsewhere. As the pizza anchor of a Spring Mountain crawl — between the sushi counters and Raku — it's exactly the right carb stop, nationally ranked.
Insider tip The double happy hour (3-5pm AND 9pm-close, daily, $5 drafts) makes it the cheapest nationally-ranked pizza session in the country — and the 16-inch New York feeds two-to-four where the 11-inch Neo is personal. The eggplant caponata pie is the sleeper order.
