Is Iron Mike Legacy Worth It? What We Know Before It Opens

Iron Mike Legacy is the first officially licensed attraction built around Mike Tyson, and it opens at Flamingo Las Vegas in fall 2026. As of October 7, 2026 the producers have not named the opening day; the booking calendar starts in November. The walk-through follows Tyson from a Brownsville childhood to the youngest heavyweight title in boxing history and through what the producers themselves call a complicated legacy, across eight themed rooms: Iron Beginnings, Iron Making, Iron Sanctuary, Iron Coop, Iron Mind, Iron Tunnel, Iron Ring and Iron Simulator. The rooms mix physical sets with projection mapping, holograms, augmented reality, spatial audio and virtual-reality headsets, and the operator budgets 60 to 90 minutes for the full route. It is produced by Your ID with ProSport Live, with the World Boxing Council as official partner, and Caesars Entertainment announced it on July 22, 2026 with Flamingo as the flagship location.

Tickets went on sale August 5, 2026 and are tiered by entry time rather than by seat. Afternoon admission is $59 for adults and is valid for entry between noon and 5 PM; evening admission is $79; an anytime ticket is $99; VIP is $129. Children 3 to 11 pay half of each tier and must come with an adult. Every tier includes all eight rooms and the VR gear. The operator's schedule lists timed sessions Thursday through Sunday, and all sales are final.

What you should weigh before paying. Nothing has opened yet, so there are no visitor reviews, and $59 is a steep floor for an hour-long walk-through on a Strip where the STRAT observation deck costs $28. The VR segments rule out anyone prone to motion sickness, and while the pricing starts at age 3, Tyson's story includes a prison sentence and some brutal fights, so decide for yourself whether a young child belongs in a headset for it. Flamingo sits at the center of the Strip, which makes the location the easy part; the free Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is on the same property if you want something to pair it with.

Insider tipIf you are set on going, the $59 afternoon ticket covers exactly the same rooms as the $99 anytime ticket; the extra $40 buys flexibility, not content. Book a noon-to-5 slot and spend the evening elsewhere on the Strip.

Frequently asked questions

When does Iron Mike Legacy open?

Fall 2026 is the only timing Caesars Entertainment and the producers have published, and the ticket calendar on the operator's site opens in November 2026. If you are booking a trip around it, buy a dated ticket rather than assuming a specific week.

How much are tickets?

Adults pay $59 for an afternoon slot (entry between noon and 5 PM), $79 for an evening slot, $99 for an anytime ticket and $129 for VIP. Children aged 3 to 11 pay half of whichever tier you choose. All tiers include every room and the VR equipment, and there are no refunds.

How long does it take?

The operator plans 60 to 90 minutes for the eight rooms. Treat it as a timed session rather than a museum you wander: you move through in sequence.

Is it suitable for kids?

Children from age 3 are admitted at half price with an adult, but the content follows Tyson through the prison years and his hardest fights, and several rooms use VR headsets. For most families this reads as a teens-and-up outing despite the ticket rule.

Where is it inside Flamingo?

Good to knowVR segments are not for anyone who gets motion sick, and the story covers the rough chapters of Tyson's life, so the ages-3-and-up pricing is a ticket rule, not a content rating.
