Excalibur leans all the way into its medieval-castle theme, from the turreted exterior to the Tournament of Kings — a jousting dinner show that's a hit with kids and groups. It's unapologetically fun-for-all-ages, and one of the cheapest places to stay on the Strip without leaving the action.

Rooms are simple and good value across the Resort and Royal towers, and the location is a real plus: free trams and walkways connect it to Luxor and Mandalay Bay, while MGM Grand, New York-New York and the T-Mobile Arena are a short stroll away — ideal for budget-minded families and first-timers.

Know the real math before booking: a $45-plus-tax resort fee (≈$51 a night, covering Wi-Fi and fitness-center access) lands on top of the low room rates, self-parking runs $20 a day for hotel guests ($20–$25 for visitors, valet $40), and a third or fourth guest in a room adds $35 each per night. Getting around without a car is easy — pedestrian bridges at the Tropicana Avenue corner lead to New York-New York and MGM Grand, where the Las Vegas Monorail has its southern terminus, and the 24-hour Deuce bus stops right outside. One heads-up: the Athletics' ballpark is rising on the old Tropicana site diagonally across the intersection, so expect construction views and traffic work on that corner into 2028.

How do you get from Excalibur to the rest of the Strip without a car?

Easily. A free tram links Excalibur to Luxor and Mandalay Bay, pedestrian bridges at the Tropicana Avenue corner cross to New York-New York and MGM Grand — where the Las Vegas Monorail has its southern terminus — and the 24-hour Deuce bus stops right outside.

How much is the resort fee at Excalibur, and can it be waived?

It's $45 plus tax — about $51 a night as of mid-2026 — and covers in-room Wi-Fi, fitness-center access and local calls. MGM Rewards Gold, Platinum and Noir members have the fee waived.

Does Excalibur have free parking?

No. Self-parking runs $20 a day for hotel guests and valet is $40, but the fee buys in-out privileges across MGM Resorts' Las Vegas garages — one day's charge lets you hop between MGM properties — and Nevada residents get their first three hours free.

No, there's no in-room dining. For a late bite, Johnny Rockets on property is open 24 hours, and the Castle Walk Food Court's quick spots — Del Taco, Fatburger, Pizza Hut Express, Popeyes and more — run alongside the casino floor.
