Sahara opens a Vegas Loop station, putting the tunnels at the north end of the Strip

The Boring Company's Vegas Loop reached the north end of the Strip on August 6, when a station opened at Sahara Las Vegas. The stop sits at surface level by the resort's Paradise Road entrance, next to the digital marquee, and runs daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with longer hours during conventions.

From there the Tesla shuttles connect to the Las Vegas Convention Center campus, Harry Reid International Airport and the other resorts already wired into the network. Rides between stations inside the Convention Center footprint are free; anything beyond it is paid, in a range that has run roughly $5 to $12 depending on the trip. Tickets are bought online in advance or by scanning a QR code at the station.

Sahara now joins Westgate as the only two resorts with both a Loop station and a Las Vegas Monorail stop. That combination matters more than it sounds: the north Strip has always been the awkward end of the Boulevard, a two-mile walk from the Bellagio-Caesars core, and it now has two ways out that skip Las Vegas Boulevard traffic entirely.

Our take: this is a convention-week win first and a tourist convenience second. If you are staying at the Sahara for CES or a trade show, the Loop takes the worst part of that address off the table. For a normal Strip trip, the Monorail from the same property still covers more of what you actually want to reach, and it costs about the same.
