The Cromwell is gone — The Vanderpump Hotel is now open on the center Strip
Caesars finished the rebrand on June 11: 188 redesigned rooms at Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road. If your "Cromwell" booking suddenly changed names, this is why.
The Cromwell — the small boutique casino-hotel at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road — officially became The Vanderpump Hotel on June 11. It's the first hotel from Lisa Vanderpump, the restaurateur and TV personality behind several existing Vegas venues, and the most ambitious step yet in her partnership with Caesars Entertainment.
All 188 rooms and suites were redesigned in the Vanderpump style, developed with her longtime designer Nick Alain — think chandeliers, moody lighting and heavy glam rather than a standard corporate refresh. The location is the same prime center-Strip corner the Cromwell occupied, directly across from Caesars Palace and a short walk from the Bellagio fountains, with the Flamingo right next door.
Two practical notes. First, if you booked the Cromwell months ago, your reservation lives on — same building, new name and look. Second, at 188 rooms this remains one of the smallest hotels on the Strip, so weekend availability sells out faster than at the mega-resorts. Deciding where to base yourself? Our where to stay guide compares the center Strip against the alternatives.
Our take: the location is genuinely excellent and boutique scale is rare in Vegas, but this is a taste-specific product — if pink-and-chandeliers glam isn't you, the money goes further at the bigger neighbors. Fans of Vanderpump's restaurants will feel right at home; everyone else should compare rates against Flamingo and Horseshoe before committing.
