Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art

The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is a rare thing on the Strip: a real exhibition space inside Bellagio that borrows original works from major museums. One show runs at a time. The most recent show, Soulful Creatures: Animal Mummies in Ancient Egypt, organized with the Brooklyn Museum, closed on September 13, 2026, and as of September 22, 2026 Bellagio had not announced its successor, so the gallery is dark until the next installation. Soulful Creatures set the standard for what to expect here: about 100 artifacts, including some 36 mummified cats, dogs, birds and crocodiles, alongside more than 60 Egyptian works, with a finale of CT scans and X-rays revealing what was actually inside the wrappings.

Set expectations before you buy. This is a single gallery room, not a museum wing, and $29 adult admission is priced like a major institution - fair for the quality of the loans, steep for the square footage. It's also genuinely quiet, which counts for a lot two minutes from a casino floor. Shows rotate every several months and the space usually goes dark between them, so check Bellagio's site for the next opening date before you walk over. Docent-led tours run daily at 11 AM for $10 on top of admission, and they earn it: the objects here reward more context than the wall text alone provides.
