The actual car Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow died in — a 1934 Ford V8 riddled with more than 160 bullet holes from the May 23, 1934 Louisiana ambush — has lived at the Primm state-line casinos since 1988, when Gary Primm bought it for $250,000. Its provenance is solid: stolen by the outlaws from a Topeka family, returned to them after the shootout, and traced through auctions ever since (unlike the several fake "death cars" that toured mid-century America). Viewing has always been free — a casino-floor display, not a museum.

Check before you drive: the display is temporarily unavailable as of mid-2026. The car moved to Primm Valley Resort after its former home, Buffalo Bill's, closed in July 2025 — and Primm Valley itself shut for an ownership transition before Terrible's rescue takeover on July 6, 2026. The new operator plans to reopen the casino within weeks, but no firm date is set and the car's post-reopening display spot hasn't been officially confirmed. When it's back, expect what it's always been: a 5–10 minute free stop, 40 miles south of the Strip at the California line — macabre, fascinating, and only worth a detour if you're already driving I-15.
