Bonnie and Clyde Getaway Car

The actual car Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow died in - a 1934 Ford V8 riddled with more than 160 bullet holes from the May 23, 1934 Louisiana ambush - has lived at the Primm state-line casinos since 1988, when Gary Primm bought it for $250,000. Its provenance is solid: stolen by the outlaws from a Topeka family, returned to them after the shootout, and traced through auctions ever since (unlike the several fake "death cars" that toured mid-century America). Viewing has always been free: a casino-floor display, not a museum.

The car is on view again. It sits at Primm Valley Resort & Casino, 31900 Las Vegas Blvd S, which reopened on July 22, 2026 under Terrible's, the Herbst family's casino company, after a 17-day closure. The car and its small memorabilia case were confirmed still on the casino floor at reopening. Both of the car's former hosts are gone: Whiskey Pete's closed December 17, 2024 and Buffalo Bill's closed July 7, 2025. Expect what it has always been: a free 5–10 minute stop 40 miles south of the Strip at the California line, grim and genuinely historic, worth the detour mainly if you're already driving I-15. The property was re-fitted around the handover, so if you don't spot the display right away, ask at the front desk.
