The ARIA Fine Art Collection scatters museum-grade works through the public spaces of ARIA and the wider CityCenter campus - Vdara, Veer Towers and The Shops at Crystals. Start at the registration desk under Maya Lin's 'Silver River,' an 84-foot cast of the Colorado River in reclaimed silver, then follow the free brochure map to Jenny Holzer's 'VEGAS' at the north valet, Nancy Rubins' boat-cluster 'Big Edge' at Harmon Circle, and Oldenburg & van Bruggen's 'Typewriter Eraser, Scale X' out near the Waldorf Astoria. MGM spent roughly $40 million assembling all of it when CityCenter opened in 2009.

The honest catch: this is a working casino campus, not a museum. Pieces sit at restaurant entrances and valet drives with little or no labeling, so without the map you'll walk straight past a Frank Stella. Grab the brochure from the ARIA concierge desk, wear comfortable shoes, and budget one to two hours for the full loop across four buildings; a highlights circuit inside ARIA alone runs 20 to 30 minutes. MGM has reshaped the collection over the years, selling and rotating individual pieces, so ignore older articles promising work that may no longer be there.
