M&M's World

M&M's World

Four floors of M&M's retail in the Showcase Mall next to MGM Grand - free to wander, with a 22-color candy wall, custom-printed M&M's and a NASCAR show car upstairs.

Is M&M's World Las Vegas Worth It? Review

M&M's World was the first of its kind when it opened in October 1997, and the Las Vegas flagship is still the biggest draw of the Showcase Mall next to MGM Grand: four levels and about 28,000 square feet of candy retail. The centerpiece is the color wall - dispensers of M&M's in roughly 22 colors sold by weight - plus personalized M&M's printed with names, messages or photos in a couple of minutes, mascot photo ops, and a NASCAR show car parked upstairs with a Strip view.

Call it what it is: a very large, very loud gift shop. Entry is free and so are the photos, but everything past browsing costs money, and the color wall's by-weight pricing adds up faster than you'd think. Midday (roughly noon to 4 PM) is wall-to-wall families; early morning or late evening is far calmer. There's no parking of its own - use the MGM Grand garage next door or New York-New York across the street. Most people are in and out in 30 to 60 minutes.

Insider tipWeigh the color-wall bag before you get carried away - pricing is by weight and a generous scoop session can outcost a show ticket. A small themed bag makes the same souvenir.

Frequently asked questions

Is M&M's World Las Vegas free?

Yes - entry to all four floors is free, and so are photos with the mascots and window displays. You pay only for candy from the color wall, personalized M&M's or merchandise.

How many floors is M&M's World and how long does a visit take?

Four levels, about 28,000 square feet - it was the first M&M's store ever, opened in October 1997. Most visitors spend 30 to 60 minutes.

What is there to do inside?

Scoop from the color wall (around 22 colors sold by weight), print custom M&M's with names or photos in about two minutes, catch the character mascots for photos, and head to the top floor for the NASCAR show car and a Strip view. A small upper-floor theater exists, but check on arrival whether the film is actually running.

Is M&M's World inside a hotel?

No - it occupies the Showcase Mall, a standalone retail building at Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd, next door to MGM Grand rather than inside it.

Where do you park for M&M's World?

There's no dedicated lot. The MGM Grand garage next door is closest; Showcase Mall, New York-New York across the street and ARIA are the alternatives - all paid.

What are the store's hours?

Daily 9 AM to midnight, though holidays and private events can shift the schedule - worth confirming same-day if you're coming late.
