The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Vegas

The FRIENDS franchise's permanent Vegas flagship rebuilds Central Perk, both apartments, and a one-of-a-kind Ross-and-Rachel wedding chapel for an hour of photo ops at MGM Grand.

Is The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Vegas Worth It?

The FRIENDS Experience: The One in Vegas is the franchise's permanent flagship, open since July 2025 in The District at MGM Grand, beside the Grand Garden Arena. The self-guided, timed-entry walkthrough runs about an hour and moves through full-scale rebuilds of the show's sets: Central Perk with the orange couch, Monica and Rachel's apartment, Joey and Chandler's recliners, the opening-credits fountain, and a staging of the "PIVOT!" couch scene. Props and costumes fill the gaps between rooms — Phoebe's taxi, Rachel's 18-page letter (front and back), even the Ugly Naked Guy poking device.

The Vegas edition adds one set no touring version has: a wedding chapel styled after Ross and Rachel's drunken Strip wedding, easily the best photo stop in the building. Know what you're buying, though — this is a staged photo walkthrough, not a museum. There's little to read and nothing to ride, so the value tracks your attachment to the show almost exactly: devoted fans stretch the visit well past an hour, casual viewers finish in half that, and non-fans will wonder why everyone's lining up to sit on an orange couch.

Insider tipCheck the Grand Garden Arena calendar before picking a date — the entrance sits right next to the arena, and on concert nights The District corridor and MGM parking jam up around doors.

Frequently asked questions

How long does The FRIENDS Experience in Las Vegas take?

Plan on about 60 minutes at an easy pace. It's self-guided, so the real variable is photo traffic — on busy weekends the couch and chapel stops develop waits that can push a visit well past the hour.

Is The FRIENDS Experience worth it if you're not a fan of the show?

Honestly, no. The experience is built on recognizing sets and moments, and there's no ride, actor, or story layer to carry someone who hasn't watched. Mixed groups should split up — the resort has plenty to occupy non-fans for an hour.

Do kids need tickets for The FRIENDS Experience?

Children 3 and under enter free with a paying adult, ages 4–12 get a discounted child ticket, and anyone 12 or under must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. The content is all-ages, but kids who've never seen the show mostly get a colorful photo set.

What makes the Las Vegas location different from other FRIENDS Experience cities?

It's the franchise's flagship — a permanent build rather than a touring pop-up — and the only one with the Ross-and-Rachel wedding chapel, plus props from the show's actual Las Vegas episodes, like Joey's gladiator costume. Semi-private proposal packages in the chapel are a Vegas-only extra.

Can you visit the FRIENDS merchandise store without a ticket?

Yes — the retail store sits outside the ticketed route and is open to anyone walking through The District, so a merch run doesn't require admission.
