Vegas Off-Road Experience - Baja Race Truck

Vegas Off-Road Experience - Baja Race Truck

Drive a purpose-built Baja race truck over tabletop jumps and banked dirt corners at SpeedVegas Motorsports Park, or ride shotgun while an experienced racer shows you how it's really done.

Is Vegas Off-Road Experience Worth It? Baja Trucks, Big Air, and a Lot of Dust

VORE - the Vegas Off-Road Experience - straps you into a purpose-built Baja race truck at SpeedVegas Motorsports Park, south of the Strip. This isn't a dune-buggy trail ride: the trucks are long-travel desert racing machines, and the dirt course was shaped for them, with tabletop jumps that get all four wheels off the ground and banked corners meant to be slid through. Compared with a supercar track day, it's louder, rougher, and a lot more airborne - which is exactly the point.

Every drive starts with a technical briefing and two discovery laps riding in a Ford Raptor with an instructor, so you've seen the line before you're turned loose in the race truck. If you're under 18 - or want the truck driven at its actual limit - ride-alongs put an experienced racer at the wheel, and the pro's pace is more violent than anything a first-timer will manage solo. The honest catches: laps go by fast, weekend check-in can queue up badly, the on-board video costs extra, and you'll leave wearing a fine layer of Nevada dust.

Insider tipWeekend slots back up fast - arrive up to an hour before your session to clear check-in, the safety class, and helmet fitting, or just book a weekday morning instead.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need off-road experience to drive the Baja truck?

No. Every session opens with a classroom-style safety briefing, and the Raptor discovery laps exist precisely so a first-timer sees the racing line and jump speeds before taking the wheel. The coaching comes from experienced off-road racers, not script-readers.

Can friends watch without booking anything?

Yes. The driving center has a panoramic viewing terrace overlooking the track, so spectators can follow the whole lap, jumps included, while their group drives.

How is this different from a desert ATV or dune-buggy tour?

Those are guided trail rides through open desert; VORE is a closed, groomed race course where the point is speed and air. You don't caravan anywhere - you lap the same mile and push harder each time around.

Can kids take part?

Driving is strictly adults with a license, but the ride-along seat takes kids from age 11 as long as they clear 59 inches and a parent signs for them. Smaller kids are limited to the viewing terrace.

Can I combine it with the supercar track in one visit?

The same complex runs the Exotics Racing asphalt circuit and Vegas Superkarts, and combo bookings bundle Baja truck laps with supercar drives so you only make the trip south once.
