What is open on Thanksgiving in Las Vegas, and is there a parade?
1 answer
Nearly everything on the Strip is open on Thursday, November 26, 2026: casinos, most restaurants, the casino malls and most shows. There is no big Thanksgiving parade in Las Vegas.
Open
- Casinos, around the clock
- Most restaurants, with a holiday menu rather than a closure
- The casino malls: the Forum Shops, Grand Canal Shoppes and Miracle Mile stayed open through the day last year
- The Neon Museum (open 365 days a year) and the Mob Museum, on shortened holiday hours
Closed or limited
- Hoover Dam's visitor center and tours, which close only on Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Fashion Show and the two Premium Outlets took the Thursday off last year and opened early on Black Friday
- Red Rock's Scenic Drive ran 6 a.m. to noon only last year
- KÀ and Mystère are dark, by their regular Thursday schedule rather than for the holiday
Instead of a parade
The Turkey Trot 5K runs in Summerlin that morning, football is on every sportsbook screen from 10 a.m., and the holiday lights are already on: Ethel M's cactus garden from November 5, the Glittering Lights drive-through from November 6, Enchant from November 20, and the Bellagio Conservatory's holiday room from mid-November. Downtown Summerlin's free holiday parade runs Friday and Saturday evenings from late November.
Dinner
Menus post in late October and November. Last year's ran from $16 at a Henderson diner to $135 at the Eiffel Tower, with Bacchanal's holiday buffet at $97.99 and Mon Ami Gabi's turkey menu at $59.95. Reserve the day the menu appears.
Timing: Sunday to Wednesday that week is cheap, since the F1 crowd has left, and the Sunday drive back to California is the worst traffic of the year. Prices, hours and shows by date are in Thanksgiving in Las Vegas.
