Thursday to Saturday, November 19 to 21, 2026. The race starts at 8 p.m. Pacific on Saturday the 21st, which is 4 a.m. Sunday in the UK and 5 a.m. in central Europe.

The schedule

  • Thursday, November 19: practice, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, November 20: qualifying, 8 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 21: the race, 50 laps, from 8 p.m.

F1 Academy, the all-female series, races in the gaps. Every session is after dark, and the 8 p.m. start is two hours earlier than the 2023 and 2024 editions, which leaves room for dinner.

The track

A 3.8-mile street circuit with 17 turns. It runs counter-clockwise from the pit building at Harmon and Koval, up Koval Lane, around Sphere on Sands Avenue, then 1.2 miles down Las Vegas Boulevard past the Venetian, Caesars Palace and Bellagio, and back along Harmon. Top speeds pass 215 mph.

It is an annual fixture: Formula 1 signed a ten-year extension in June 2026, so the race stays on the Strip through 2037, always in the third week of November so far.

What it does to race week

  • Circuit roads, including the Boulevard between Sands and Harmon, closed from 1 p.m. on each session day in 2025 and reopened between midnight and 3 a.m.
  • Koval Lane was shut around the clock from November 15 to 24.
  • Pedestrian bridges stayed open for crossing but not for watching.
  • The Monorail ran nonstop all week.
  • Hotel prices run well above the following week, and the Bellagio fountains sit behind a grandstand from mid-September.
