It runs 3.9 miles along the east side of the Strip, from MGM Grand to Sahara, every 4 to 8 minutes, from 7 a.m. until midnight to 3 a.m. depending on the day. End to end takes under 15 minutes.

The seven stations

  1. MGM Grand
  2. Horseshoe / Paris
  3. Flamingo / Caesars Palace
  4. Harrah's / The LINQ
  5. Las Vegas Convention Center
  6. Westgate
  7. Sahara

Hours at our last check

  • Monday: 7 a.m. to midnight
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Friday to Sunday: 7 a.m. to 3 a.m.

Hours stretch for big conventions, and last New Year's it ran 43 hours straight. Check the station boards if you are cutting it close.

What it does not do

It skips the airport and Downtown, and it does not stop at the west-side resorts such as Bellagio, The Venetian and Wynn. The stations sit at the back of the casinos, so "Flamingo / Caesars Palace" still means a five-to-ten-minute walk through Flamingo to the Boulevard. Luggage is fine, and with elevators and level boarding it works with a wheelchair or a stroller.

Fares and whether a pass pays off are in how much the Monorail costs; trams, buses and rideshare in getting around Las Vegas.
