Is All Motown Worth It? Honest Review & Tips

All Motown is the Duchesses of Motown, an all-female ensemble covering both sides of the Hitsville catalog: the Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas and the Marvelettes on their home turf, plus the Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Jackson 5 numbers sung across the aisle. The gender flip is the show's actual idea, not a gimmick - hearing “My Girl” in four-part female harmony rearranges a song you thought you knew. It plays nightly at the Athena Showlounge inside Alexis Park.

Expectation calibration: it's an intimate hotel showlounge a mile east of the Strip, with free parking and a five-minute rideshare back, a rotating cast (don't attach to specific names) and modest staging that puts the vocals in charge. From $37.95, about 75 minutes, family-friendly with an 8+ recommendation. Curtain is 7:30 PM every night.

Insider tipCurtain is 7:30 every night, so pair it with the resort's sibling shows: Alexis Park runs a full tribute slate, and doubling up makes the rideshare math work twice as hard.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the Duchesses of Motown?

An all-female vocal ensemble covering the entire Motown songbook - the Supremes and Marvelettes material straight, and the male catalog (Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Jackson 5) rearranged for female harmony, which is where the show earns its keep. The lineup rotates; book the concept, not a name.

What time is the show?

Nightly at 7:30 PM.

Where is Alexis Park?

375 E. Harmon, about a mile east of the Strip - a five-minute rideshare, with free parking at the resort for showgoers. The resort brands its four showrooms as the Modern Showrooms; the same complex hosts All Shook Up and other tributes on different slots.

Is it family-friendly?

Yes - all ages with an 8+ recommendation, clean catalog and a singalong-forward room. Multi-generation groups are the house specialty; grandparents know every word.
