Black Canyon Hot Springs Kayak Tour with Transportation
A full-day guided paddle that launches below Hoover Dam, spends time in Black Canyon's hot spring pools and ends after 8 miles with a slot canyon hike out to a waiting UTV.

Hot Springs Paddle Below Hoover Dam
Think of it as the full-day Black Canyon trip with the last third cut off. You still launch at 7 a.m. from the base of Hoover Dam, and you still get the hot springs, the canyon walls and a riverside lunch. But the paddle stops after 8 miles at Cranes Nest Canyon instead of running all 12 to Willow Beach. From there you walk out through a slot canyon to a UTV, driven by Blazin' Paddles staff, that carries the group up to the shuttle.
It costs from $336 including fees, more than the full 12-mile day, and it skips Emerald Cave entirely. What you're paying for is the operator's pick of the best 8 miles, about an hour less paddling than the long version, and an exit by land. The day is still rated moderate to difficult and takes 9 to 10 hours door to door. The minimum age is 12, anyone under 16 must share a double kayak with an adult, and every guest needs government-issued photo ID. Newer paddlers will be happier on the simpler Black Canyon Kayak Tour with Transportation.
Insider tipKeep your head out of the hot spring water: Lake Mead officials have warned that the Naegleria fowleri amoeba has been found in the hot springs below Hoover Dam and advise against diving, splashing or submerging your head.Check Availability & Prices →
