Hollywood Tour

The Hollywood Tour is a full-day round trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, running close to 15 hours door to door. Travelers ride by luxury SUV, mini-coach or full-size coach depending on the departure and group size, with hotel pickup and drop-off, crossing the Mojave Desert on Interstate 15 - dry lakebeds, mountain ranges and scattered Joshua trees - on the way to the entertainment capital.

In Hollywood you walk the Walk of Fame among the stars, see the Chinese and Dolby theaters that host the Oscars, and photograph the Hollywood Sign from a distant viewpoint. The route also rolls past the Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive, and some departures add Santa Monica. Continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and bottled water are included.

Be realistic about the format: it is a very long day with about four hours of driving each way in clear conditions, so most of the trip is spent in the vehicle, and the stops are brief photo-and-stroll visits rather than deep exploration, with no time inside studios or museums. The afternoon crawl out of Los Angeles and traffic on I-15 routinely add to that and can push the return past 9 pm. Still, for visitors who want to tick Hollywood off the list without renting a car, it is an efficient, well-fed way to see the icons in a single day.
