Pickup is at your Strip hotel for the 2 PM departure. The route starts at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, which has stood since 1959, then rolls up the Boulevard while the guide covers the mob-funded resorts of the 1950s, the Rat Pack years at the Sands, Wedding Chapel Row, and the blocks of Fremont Street where the first casinos opened. The tour ends on the LINQ Promenade with a 30-minute rotation on the 550-foot wheel, ticket included, and the guide rides the cabin with you.

The Jeep has elevated seating and a canopy for shade, which matters more than it sounds in a city where the afternoon sun hits 100 degrees for four months of the year; the tour runs rain or shine. Stops are short walks of up to 20 minutes on paved ground, and guests with limited mobility can stay in the vehicle, with the trade-off that the photo stops are the point. Children under 2 are not allowed; the child fare covers ages 2 to 12.

On price, the operator lists $123 an adult and $113 a child, with a private Jeep for 2 to 10 people at $787; through the booking button it runs about $127 before fees. Roughly a quarter of that is the High Roller ticket, which you could buy on your own, so what you are paying for is the guide and the open-air seat.
