Vegas Views is Maverick Helicopters' night sightseeing flight over the Las Vegas Strip. Check-in is at Maverick's own terminal at 6075 South Las Vegas Boulevard, about half a mile off the hotel corridor, where small groups board a forward-facing touring helicopter for a loop above the Boulevard once the neon comes on. Maverick puts the air time at 10 to 12 minutes, and the terminal end of the evening takes considerably longer than the flight does.

From the air the whole Strip lines up below you: The STRAT tower, the Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace, the Venetian, Wynn, Sphere, Allegiant Stadium and the Luxor light beam, with Downtown's Fremont Street glowing to the north. Wide windows and headsets mean everyone gets a clear view and a bit of narration over the rotor noise. It is a genuine bucket-list moment and a strong photo opportunity on a clear evening.

What to budget for: the flight is short for the money, and the helicopter carries up to six, so unless you buy every seat you are sharing it. Seats are assigned at check-in by a system that works from weight and balance, which means a window is luck rather than choice. Departure is from the terminal rather than curbside on the Strip, though complimentary round-trip ground transportation covers hotels within about five miles. Flights are weather-dependent and can be bumpy, and window glare or haze occasionally dulls photos. For a quick, high-impact way to see the lights, though, it delivers.
