El Loco at Circus Circus
A 90-foot climb, a near-vertical drop and two dive loops in 73 seconds - El Loco is the Adventuredome's rougher, wilder second coaster inside Circus Circus.

Is El Loco Worth It? Ride Review
El Loco is the Adventuredome's wild card at Circus Circus - an S&S steel coaster that opened in February 2014 and packs a 90-foot climb, a near-vertical drop, two dive-loop inversions and 45 mph into about 73 seconds of track. The name is earned: this model is famous for sharp, sudden transitions that thrill-seekers chase and motion-sensitive riders regret. It runs entirely indoors under the pink dome, air-conditioned year-round.
The money math matters here. Park entry is free, but riding takes the all-day Unlimited Ride Pass: $60 for adults, $30 for the junior tier under 48 inches, checked September 3, 2026. That junior band buys nothing at El Loco, whose 48-inch minimum starts exactly where the adult price does. Pair the coaster with Canyon Blaster and the rest of the dome's dozen rides and the wristband earns its keep; ride it once and leave, and it doesn't. Watch the calendar too, because Monday through Thursday the park only runs noon to 7 PM.
Insider tipDo El Loco first and Canyon Blaster second. The transitions are sharp enough that plenty of riders lose interest in a second lap, and the 10 AM opening on Friday through Sunday is the only stretch when the queue is genuinely short.Check Tickets & Prices →
