Inverter at Circus Circus

The Inverter is the Adventuredome's meanest-looking pendulum at Circus Circus: a Chance Rides machine from 1999 that swings riders up, flips them through full 360-degree rotations and holds them upside-down over the midway with a shoulder harness taking the load. The whole thing lasts a minute or two. The appeal is sustained G-force and that inverted hold, not duration, and like everything under the pink dome it runs indoors year-round.

Practical honesty: park entry is free, but riding is not. The Adventuredome sells one all-day unlimited wristband, $60 for adults and $30 for the junior tier under 48 inches as of September 3, 2026, so a single flip on the Inverter costs the same as a full day of them. The 48-inch height minimum shuts out smaller kids, the flipping is exactly what motion-sensitive stomachs hate, and individual rides can pause for maintenance without notice. Circus Circus sits on the quieter north Strip, where free self-parking softens the trek; the weekend 10 AM opening has the shortest lines, because Monday through Thursday the dome doesn't unlock until noon.
