Is HyperX Arena Las Vegas Worth It? Review

HyperX Arena is the Strip's flagship gaming venue - a 30,000-square-foot, two-story space inside the Luxor, built into the old LAX nightclub footprint, with a competition stage, a giant LED wall, rows of PC and console stations and a bar. Walking in costs nothing; you pay only for game time: $15 for an hour, $25 for two, $40 for four, $50 for an 8-hour day pass or $125 for a 24-hour weekend pass, all checked September 3, 2026. Nevada locals get double time with ID; military and first responders take 15% off game play and food.

The schedule is the catch. The arena now runs noon to 9 PM and goes dark Tuesday and Wednesday, and the floor regularly goes offline for private events and tournaments, so check the calendar before a special trip. Food and drink service only operates Friday through Sunday from 4 PM (bring your own earlier in the week), and if you don't game, the visit amounts to a 10-minute look at the stage and LED wall. For players, though, it's the best-equipped public gaming floor in Vegas.

Insider tipThe arena is only open nine hours a day, so the $50 day pass buys eight of the nine. Unless you're settling in at noon, the $40 four-hour block does the same job for less. And Monday through Thursday you can carry in your own food and drinks; the kitchen only runs Friday to Sunday from 4 PM.
