Minus5 Ice Bar sits in The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, the indoor corridor that links Mandalay Bay to Luxor. Everything inside — walls, bar top, seating, sculptures, even the glass your cocktail arrives in — is carved from roughly 90 tons of ice, and the room holds a constant 23°F (−5°C). Staff hand out an insulated parka and gloves at the door, and resident carvers keep reworking the sculptures, so the scenery shifts between visits.

Treat it as a 30-to-45-minute novelty, not a night out. Admission gets you through the door with gear; every drink is billed separately, and you'll be pitched a faux-fur coat upgrade on the way in and souvenir photos on the way out. The room is compact and fills with parka-clad groups posing for pictures on weekend nights. The carving work is genuinely impressive, though, the LED-lit ice photographs well, and walking off a 105°F sidewalk into a freezer is its own kind of Vegas absurdity — one of the few attractions that actually improves in July.
