REAL BODIES at Horseshoe Las Vegas

REAL BODIES has held the lower level of Horseshoe Las Vegas since 2017, and its lease was extended another five years in late 2024 — rare stability for a Strip attraction. The draw: more than 20 real, whole-body human specimens and 200-plus anatomical artifacts, preserved through a polymer process that leaves muscle fiber, blood vessels, and bone reading like an open textbook. Themed galleries — Breathe, Hunger, Rhythm, Move, Think, Love — pair the dissections with cultural context about what bodies have meant across history, and an Anatomist's Study gallery sets a deliberately scholarly tone.

It's genuinely educational and staged without shock tactics, but go in with clear eyes. Most people are through in 45 minutes to an hour, which can feel brief if you're expecting a full museum. The harder question is provenance: the specimens are unclaimed bodies from medical universities in China, and the absence of documented donor consent has drawn criticism for years. The producer doesn't hide the sourcing, and plenty of visitors are fine with it — but if it gives you pause, this isn't an attraction to talk yourself into. For everyone else, it's a quiet, self-paced counterweight to the casino floor upstairs.
