SkyJump is the biggest dare in Las Vegas: a step off a platform on the 108th floor of The STRAT, 855 feet up, followed by an 829-foot descent down the face of the tower at speeds past 40 mph. You're harnessed to a guide-wire decelerator — not a bungee — so the fall is fast but controlled the whole way, ending in a stand-up landing on the pad below.

The sticker price is real: jumps start at $145 on weekdays through Expedia and run higher on weekends — but the operator's own discounts are generous, with STRAT hotel guests and Nevada locals jumping for $99.99 and a Monday–Thursday happy hour (2–3 PM) at $99. Budget 35–45 minutes for the whole process from check-in to landing; the jump itself is seconds. Minimum age is 14, the weight cap is 265 pounds including about 10 pounds of gear, and high winds pause operations — one more reason earlier slots are safer bets. Photos and the wrist-cam video are sold separately.

Can anyone do it?

Anyone 14 or older under 265 pounds including the ~10 lb of gear. No experience needed — staff handle every strap — but genuine fear of heights tends to make itself known on the walk to the platform.

Do I get a video of my jump?

Only if you buy it — the wrist-cam video and photo packages are separate purchases. If you want proof, budget for it going in; friends can also film your landing from the pad area for free.
