Las Vegas Hotel Check-In & Check-Out Times (2026)

At almost every Strip resort, check-out is 11:00 a.m. and check-in is 3:00 p.m. — except the Caesars hotels, which check you in at 4:00 p.m. That is the whole answer if your flight happens to line up. It usually does not, and the useful part of this page is what to do about it: how to get into your room early, how to stay past 11, and which of those moves cost nothing.

One rule to remember: early check-in and late checkout are almost never guaranteed for free — they depend on how full the hotel is that day. A quiet Tuesday and a sold-out fight weekend are two different hotels. Treat everything below as "subject to availability" unless you have paid for a guaranteed slot.

Check-in and check-out times by hotel

The big operators run one policy across all their properties, so the table groups them that way.

Three things stand out. Caesars Palace and its sister hotels — Paris, The LINQ, Flamingo, Harrah’s — check in an hour later than the MGM resorts, at 4:00 p.m., so a same-day arrival there means a longer wait if your room is not ready. Wynn and Encore hand you the single most useful default on the Strip: a noon check-out, an hour later than everyone else, with nothing to request. And Treasure Island is refreshingly clear about paid early and late options, which helps when you just want a guaranteed answer.

How to check in early (free first, then paid)

Your bags do not have to babysit you until 3. In rough order of value:

Use the hotel app — the best free trick. At an MGM property (Bellagio, Aria, MGM Grand and the rest), download the MGM Rewards app and tap "Start Check-In" the moment you land. It puts you in line digitally and texts you the second a room opens up — on a slow day that can be hours before 3:00 p.m., sometimes with a digital key sent straight to your phone, and you never pay a cent. Caesars Rewards works the same way at its hotels.

Lean on loyalty status. MGM Rewards Gold, Platinum and NOIR members can request early check-in at no charge, and the top Caesars Rewards tiers get the same courtesy — always subject to how full the house is. For a frequent visitor, the tier earns its keep right here.

Ask, nicely and early. The most common room types turn over first, so a standard king is likelier to be ready early than a specific suite. The only truly reliable "early check-in" is to book the night before and arrive in the evening, so the room is already yours by morning.

Pay for a guaranteed slot. When you cannot risk the wait, several hotels sell certainty. The Cosmopolitan and Resorts World let you add Guaranteed Early Check-In at booking for roughly $25–$40. Treasure Island’s Express option guarantees a room from 11:00 a.m. for $40 plus tax, with a separate line and keys waiting. A walk-up early check-in with no guarantee usually runs $20–$60 depending on the day — and buys you nothing if no room is clean yet.

How to check out late

The 11:00 a.m. checkout is the more painful one — few people want to leave the room hours before a red-eye. Your options, best to worst:

• Ask the front desk the morning you leave. This is what the hotels themselves tell you to do. Availability is clearest on departure morning, and a 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. courtesy checkout is a common yes on a non-peak day, free.
• Use your loyalty tier. Higher MGM Rewards and Caesars Rewards levels are the guests most likely to get a late checkout waved through at no cost.
• Pay for it. A guaranteed late checkout to around 3:00 p.m. generally runs $30–$40 for a standard room, more for suites. Treasure Island, for one, sells a late checkout to 3:00 p.m. from $40 plus tax.
• Skip it and store your bags. Every big resort’s bell desk holds luggage free, both before check-in and after checkout. Drop the bags, spend the afternoon at the pool or one last meal, and grab them on the way to the airport. It is the move most people forget.

A few honest caveats

None of this beats a sold-out calendar. On big event weekends — Formula 1 in November, a title fight, New Year’s, a giant convention — hotels run at capacity, free early check-in dries up, and a paid guarantee may be the only way into a room before 3. Suites and specialty rooms are cleaned more slowly than standard rooms, so allow for that if you booked one.
