What time do Las Vegas concerts start and end, and is there an opening act?
Most residency shows start at 8 or 8:30 p.m. with no opening act and finish by about 10:30. Arena and stadium concerts behave like anywhere else: doors 60 to 90 minutes early, one or two openers, the headliner later, done around 11. 1 answer 6h

What is a Las Vegas residency, and how is it different from a concert tour?
A residency is a run of shows by one artist in one Las Vegas venue, spread over weeks or months, instead of one night per city on a tour. The artist moves in, the production is built for that room, and you pick the night. 1 answer 6h

What is playing at the Sphere right now?
As of mid-October 2026: Metallica's residency on Thursdays and Saturdays through November 7, and The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, the immersive film, most days of the week. The Eagles and the Backstreet Boys follow later in the fall. 1 answer 6h

Where is the Sphere, and which hotels are closest to it?
Behind The Venetian, a block east of the Strip, at 255 Sands Avenue on the corner of Koval Lane. The Venetian and The Palazzo are the closest hotels; from the Venetian's front door it is a 10 to 15 minute walk. 1 answer 6h

Can you go inside the Sphere without a show ticket, or tour it?
Not inside. Sphere has no public lobby, no walk-up viewing and no guided tour; everyone who passes the doors holds a ticket for a specific event. The outside, the giant LED skin, is free to watch from the street. 1 answer 6h
