A taxi or a rideshare, for almost everyone. The airport is 2 to 5 miles from the Strip, a 10 to 20 minute drive, and a cab costs a flat $21 to $29 depending on which end of the Strip you are going to.

Taxi

  • South Strip (Mandalay Bay, Luxor, MGM Grand): $21
  • Center Strip (Bellagio, Caesars, Cosmopolitan): $25
  • North Strip (Wynn, Resorts World, The STRAT): $29
  • Paying by card: add $3. Downtown runs on the meter.

Those are the state's flat zone fares as of September 2026. Cabs line up outside Terminal 1 (exits 1 to 4) and on level 0 of Terminal 3, no app needed.

Rideshare

Usually a few dollars cheaper off-peak, roughly $20 to $45 depending on the hotel, but it surges hard on big-event nights and late arrivals. Pickup is not at the curb: Terminal 1 sends you into the parking garage, Terminal 3 to the valet level, so follow the signs.

The other options

  • Shared shuttle: from about $19 one way, with stops at several hotels. Fine for a solo traveler in no hurry.
  • Public bus: a few dollars, slow and awkward with luggage.
  • Limo or private transfer: priced per vehicle; it makes sense for a group of four or more.
  • Rental car: only if you are leaving the Strip. The rental center is off-site by shuttle and Strip parking runs $20 to $25 a day.

There is no train or Monorail from the airport. Zone-by-zone times are in airport to the Strip; everything after that first ride is in getting around Las Vegas.
