Is King of Diamonds Worth It? Honest Review of the Neil Diamond Tribute
King of Diamonds is Rob Garrett's Neil Diamond tribute — a veteran of roughly three decades in the role, including a stint as the Diamond of Legends in Concert, backed by a live band. The show relocated in 2026 from the OYO to the Athena Showroom at The Modern Showrooms inside Alexis Park Resort, an off-Strip venue on East Harmon Avenue, where it plays Sunday through Wednesday at 9 p.m. Garrett works the songbook front to back — "Sweet Caroline," "America," "Cracklin' Rosie" — with the between-song patter and audience singalongs a Diamond crowd expects, and since the real Neil Diamond retired from touring in 2018, a tribute of this vintage is as close as it gets.
Know what you're buying: this is a small independent tribute in a resort showroom, not a Strip production, and the show has changed venues more than once — worth re-checking the calendar close to your date. Alexis Park sits about half a mile east of the Strip, so plan on a short rideshare, and the 9 p.m. start makes it a late evening for the demographic most likely to attend. Tickets from around $40 keep the stakes low.
Insider tipThe venue has moved more than once in recent years — before you book a rideshare, double-check the address on your ticket rather than an old map pin.Check Tickets & Prices →
