Mark Farner's American Band Concert Tickets

Mark Farner's American Band plays The Showroom at the Golden Nugget on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 8 p.m., his second Las Vegas date at the room this year after an April show. Farner co-founded Grand Funk Railroad in 1969 and sang and played guitar on "We're an American Band," "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home)." He left the group in 1998; the Grand Funk Railroad that still tours does so without him, so this is the original voice playing the songs under his own name, and the set leans on that catalog.

The room is a cabaret-style showroom of about 600 seats just off the casino floor on Fremont Street, so sightlines are good from anywhere and the tiers buy angle, not proximity. Golden Nugget's showroom rules cover the night: 21 and over, no backpacks or large bags, validated free self-parking with a show ticket. The resort publishes no face price on its page (tickets via Ticketmaster; ticket-site numbers are resale), and no runtime or opener is posted. A Friday on Fremont Street is loud outside the doors and calm inside them.
