Is Styx at The Venetian Theatre Worth It? The 2027 Residency, Honestly
Styx return to The Venetian Theatre inside The Venetian Resort for a seventh straight year, five nights at 8:30 p.m.: January 29 and 30, then February 3, 5 and 6, 2027. The 2025 run played The Grand Illusion in full and the 2026 run did the same with Pieces of Eight; for 2027 the announcement promises five decades of hits and deep cuts without naming an album, so Renegade and Blue Collar Man are the safe bets and a full-album night is not. The lineup the resort lists is James JY Young and Tommy Shaw out front, Lawrence Gowan on keys and vocals, Todd Sucherman on drums, Will Evankovich on guitar, Terry Gowan on bass and original bassist Chuck Panozzo, with the usual caveat that the release does not promise every member on every night. Their 18th studio album, Circling From Above, came out July 18, 2025.
Tickets start at $55 plus fees, per The Venetian's own release, and have been on general sale since September 18, 2026. No age policy, opener or runtime has been published for the run, and outside food and drink are not allowed in the theater.
The 8:30 curtain is the thing to plan around: with no opener announced, you are out close to 10:30, which is fine on the Strip and awkward before an early flight. The five dates split across two weekends with a midweek Wednesday in the middle, the cheapest night to be in town. The Venetian Theatre is a tiered room where the rear sections still look at the band, not a screen. The concert listings cover what else lands in late January.
Insider tipTake the Wednesday, February 3 show: it is the one midweek date in the run, the room is the same, and the surrounding hotel night costs a fraction of the two weekends, which bracket the Big Game crowd arriving for the following week.Check Tickets & Prices →
