Most Strip hotels charge $45 to $55 a night before tax, Downtown hotels $30 to $50, and a handful charge nothing. These are the figures from our last check against the hotels' own booking screens in September 2026; hotels change them with little notice.

On the Strip

  • $55: Wynn, Encore, Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, Caesars Palace, Nobu Hotel, Paris, Planet Hollywood, The Cosmopolitan, The Venetian, The Palazzo, Fontainebleau, Resorts World
  • $54.95: The Vanderpump Hotel (the old Cromwell)
  • $50: MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, Flamingo, Harrah's, Horseshoe
  • $49.95: The LINQ, The STRAT
  • $45: New York-New York, Luxor, Excalibur
  • $0: Best Western Plus Casino Royale

Downtown

  • $50: Circa
  • $46: Golden Nugget
  • $39.55 to $39.95: Golden Gate, The D, Plaza
  • $30 to $34: Fremont ($33.99), Main Street Station ($32.99), El Cortez ($30)
  • $0: Four Queens, Binion's

Then add the tax

Every number above is before tax. Lodging tax is 13.38% on the Strip and 13% inside the city limits (Downtown), and it applies to the fee as well, so $55 really costs $62.36 a night and $50 costs $56.69. Four nights at a $55 hotel adds about $250 you will not see in the headline rate.

The dated table with every hotel is at resort fees by hotel, the properties that skip the fee are under hotels with no resort fee, and the ways to get it waived are in resort fees explained.
