What is AREA15, and where is it?
1 answer
An indoor entertainment district a few minutes west of the Strip, at 3215 South Rancho Drive, across I-15 near the Sahara Avenue exit. Walking in is free; the attractions inside are ticketed one by one.
Getting there: it is not on the Boulevard and not a hotel. Take a rideshare (about 10 minutes from the center Strip) or drive; parking is free.
What is inside
- Meow Wolf's Omega Mart: the main reason to go. A fake supermarket that opens into a labyrinth of climb-through art rooms. Timed tickets from about $45 to $48; weekend slots go first. It rewards people who open every door.
- Museum of Ice Cream: from $42, opened July 2026.
- Rides and games: a zipline across the hall, the Eye Dropper drop ride (added June 2026), axe throwing, VR rooms.
- Bars: several, including Oddwood under a 23-foot LED maple tree.
- October: Universal Horror Unleashed runs its haunted houses Thursday through Sunday evenings.
Each ticket is separate, which is how a "free" afternoon turns into $100 a head.
How long
Two hours for Omega Mart alone, half a day with a second attraction and a drink. Weekend nights switch to 21 and over after a certain hour, so bring kids in the daytime.
Sphere is the other immersive venue in town and does something completely different; the comparison is in Sphere and AREA15 explained. Non-casino day plans are in things to do besides gambling, and our hub is at AREA15.
