Is Lewis Black at The Venetian Worth It? One Night, One Rant, Honestly
Lewis Black plays one night at the Palazzo Theatre inside The Venetian Resort: Friday, October 30, 2026 at 8 p.m., billed simply as Lewis Black Live. His farewell run, Goodbye Yeller Brick Road, The Final Tour, has ended; what he does now is a handful of dates in cities he picks, and this is the Las Vegas one. The act is the one you know: the finger-jabbing, vein-popping rant about politics, money and the daily absurdities of American life, delivered at a volume that fills a room without a microphone trick. Two Grammy wins for Best Comedy Album (The Carnegie Hall Performance in 2007, Stark Raving Black in 2011), the voice of Anger in Pixar's Inside Out films and the longest run of any contributor on The Daily Show are the credits; the stage show is where the material actually lives.
Tickets started at $39 plus fees when they went on sale May 22, 2026, and that tier appears to be gone: as of October 7 the lowest available seat starts around $59 before fees. The venue publishes no runtime or opener, and the entry rule on the authorized listing is 18 and over, or 16 and over with a parent or guardian. Outside food and drink are not allowed.
A one-night booking has an obvious catch: if your dates don't line up there is no second show, and the cheap seats on a single date vanish first, so resale markups are already high. The Palazzo Theatre is a mid-size room with a steady rake, so there is no bad seat for a stand-up set; the trade is that the Venetian's parking garage is a long walk from the theater entrance. The comedy listings cover what else is on that weekend.
Insider tipBuy the lowest tier that is still on the primary ticket page rather than a resale seat two rows closer: the Palazzo Theatre's rake means the back half of the orchestra sees and hears exactly what the front does, and Black's act is words, not staging.Check Tickets & Prices →
